With an all-out effort, Hermanö Oilers's Vlad Anghel threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anton Mattsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hermanö Oilers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valer Papadima ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hermanö Oilers's Ingvar Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Bocaneț in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Bocaneț came free, but Ingvar Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Al Capone kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cristian Moisil hit a great ball. MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Melker Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 28th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristinel Bocaneț to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristinel Bocaneț's late challenge caught a Hermanö Oilers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristinel Bocaneț helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Cristinel Bocaneț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Chilian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristinel Bocaneț's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingvar Hellkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Gorgan in the 77th minute of play forced Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Ingvar Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristinel Bocaneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ingvar Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Bocaneț in the 79th minute of the match.
