After a rather tough play, Seggiano's Santa Fe got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute, Poetass FC's Percival Souto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Percival Souto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Poetass FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Percival Souto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 7th minute, one of Poetass FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Poetass FC. Poetass FC:s Amílton Paraíba showed great skill when he stopped Ennio Passerini:s penalty. After some careless play in the Poetass FC defense, Ennio Passerini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Paraíba. The Poetass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Vito Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute Ennio Passerini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seggiano's Ennio Passerini got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ennio Passerini might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílton Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio Passerini ran back to his position shaking his head. Poetass FC's Amílton Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Puce in the 18th minute of play. If Ennio Passerini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Passerini in the 22nd minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Amílton Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Valladares during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Seggiano booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton Paraíba came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Seggiano's Ennio Passerini. But to his dismay, Ennio Passerini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmundo Pirani during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Seggiano getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bianco Lemme hit a great ball. Amílton Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santa Fe, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Amílton Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Passerini in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Cafu Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seggiano the free kick. Cafu Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santa Fe in the 41st minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Amílton Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes, André Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poetass FC and the Seggiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Seggiano booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ennio Passerini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Cafu Zonta in the 50th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Seggiano's Bianco Lemme. Santa Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Felice Puce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seggiano's Cristoforo Topatigh was substituted for Santa Fe. In the 60th minute, Cristoforo Topatigh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seggiano's Cristoforo Topatigh got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Cristoforo Topatigh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Paraíba came out of the goal and Cristoforo Topatigh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Seggiano's Felice Puce ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amílton Paraíba. Amílton Paraíba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Amílton Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Di Biagio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Di Biagio came free, but Amílton Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felice Puce went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Emanuele Di Biagio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Emanuele Di Biagio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Paraíba came out of the goal and Emanuele Di Biagio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Poetass FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Seggiano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
