The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Kukova's Anton Šindler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kukova from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Kukova getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Richard Mihálek hit a great ball. Amos Maurizi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juraj Grenčík in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, FC Kukova's goalkeeper Anton Šindler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Delle Donne. Anton Šindler made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ernesto Delle Donne sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the game, Junior Maldini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anton Šindler. Junior Maldini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when FC Kukova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ján Kortiš didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Šindler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Dossena in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Juraj Grenčík came free, but Amos Maurizi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Pittner in the 37th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Amos Maurizi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the A.S. Udinese defense, Juraj Grenčík kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amos Maurizi. The A.S. Udinese fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amos Maurizi should have stopped the shot.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Michael-Peter Koenig replaced Fortunato Leggeri. A.S. Udinese's Alessio Ferreri was substituted for Ferenc Kocsis. The wind increased when Junior Maldini made the kick off in the second half. Anton Šindler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Delle Donne in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Junior Maldini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Udinese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Maldini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ján Kortiš kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Anton Šindler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Vani in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute A.S. Udinese were awarded a corner. Corrado Pietropaolo went to the cornerflag to take it. Juraj Grenčíks short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Amos Maurizi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 80 minutes, Ľubomír Pittner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kukova and the A.S. Udinese players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when FC Kukova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ľubomír Pittner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, FC Kukova's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Dossena came free, but Anton Šindler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Dossena took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Šindler. Anton Šindler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Anton Šindler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Dossena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ján Kortiš kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Corrado Pietropaolo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Pietropaolo couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Emilio Dossena put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anton Šindler. After 96 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Juraj Grenčík. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Kukova players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for A.S. Udinese.
