With a little luck, Garlic Eaters's Nikolay Bonkov got control of the ball when Oliver Giroud tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, COLLEGNO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fitz Lambley came free, but Xu Zheng Zhou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garlic Eaters's supporters rose to their feet, but Fitz Lambley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xu Zheng Zhou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Garlic Eaters's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kert Vähi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nikolay Bonkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliver Giroud in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kert Vähi in the 48th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Fortunato Di Falco charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fortunato Di Falco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With his leg Xu Zheng Zhou managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Garlic Eaters's Jozef Lewandowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Garlic Eaters booed when COLLEGNO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kert Vähi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xu Zheng Zhou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Broom, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Afful during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
