The Recife Pe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tomás Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Benedito Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fidel Gau might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidel Gau ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Fidel Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amistad De Barrio's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Gau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Corderun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hílton Trevisan made a kick off. Jose Corderun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Pontes in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Fidel Gau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Recife Pe got a freekick which was hit by Noel Marquez. Fidel Gau might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidel Gau ran back to his position shaking his head. Jose Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Trevisan in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Fermin Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amistad De Barrio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amistad De Barrio's Jose Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Silva in the 76th minute of play. Fidel Gau was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Recife Pe's Tomás Berger got control of the ball when Fidel Gau tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fidel Gau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Amistad De Barrio got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Nikola. The supporters of Recife Pe booed when Amistad De Barrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Nikola didn't get a good kick on the ball.
