Efraim Funke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Ensar Nedret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Tuna Başhekim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Efraim Funke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Buckenhof FSV getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Julien Kristl hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 85th minute, Tuna Başhekim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Afyon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Aybar Necmi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmo Hinke, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosmo Hinke in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aybar Necmi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Afyon's Eren Orbay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Efraim Funke. That made the score 1-4 after 94 minutes of play.
