Fernandez Villaelrriego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincenzo Grifoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günter Wienhold came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Eustaquio Castorena. But to his dismay, Eustaquio Castorena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Dohmen to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match, Vincenzo Grifoll got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fernandez Villaelrriego was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 25th minute, Otsoko Zarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincenzo Grifoll charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincenzo Grifoll the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Vincenzo Grifoll got a free kick in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Castorena notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Günter Wienhold. Günter Wienhold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd minute Otsoko Zarza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Günter Wienhold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Schweiger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fernandez Villaelrriego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Fernandez Villaelrriego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dejan Leuschner in the 53rd minute of play. If Otsoko Zarza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roger Dohmen's late challenge caught a Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Dohmen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Dohmen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Vincenzo Grifoll got a free kick in the 59th minute. Eustaquio Castorena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Günter Wienhold skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Günter Wienhold came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Radamel-Falcao García. But to his dismay, Radamel-Falcao García quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ. Erramun Cepa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Günter Wienhold. 0-4. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Gunther Trendelenburg got a free kick in the 77th minute. Günter Wienhold acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Erramun Cepa. 85 minutes into the game, Olaf Wagner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ the free kick. If Xelo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Vimaro Serans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Günter Wienhold was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Günter Wienhold didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. When the match was over Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. throughout the match.
