The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwan Kasiewski got free with Tome Usel in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Iwan Kasiewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Union Lara FC's Tome Usel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Union Lara FC from getting a goal against them. In the 18thth minute of the game Jörgen Levander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Lara FC's Tome Usel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iwan Kasiewski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Tome Usel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iwan Kasiewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Tome Usel made a huge save. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Union Lara FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roni Ronaldinho was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Kurdistan's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Roni Ronaldinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Union Lara FC's Tome Usel did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Hybbert in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tome Usel saved Union Lara FC from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tome Usel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Hybbert in the 51st minute of play. After taking down the ball on FC Kurdistan's corner Roni Ronaldinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tome Usel quite easily take care of the ball. Jörgen Levander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tome Usel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Fredric Hybbert put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tome Usel. 83 minutes into the match, Lars Sundström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tome Usel. Union Lara FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Sundström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Lars Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
