Brickeen Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffel Vinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Richards made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gilson Viana however managed to control. The supporters of Caveira FC Rondoniense booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Zembrzuski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brickeen Wall made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Armando Eliazar sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caveira FC Rondoniense's goalkeeper Luizão Vargas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match Braga Junior FC got a corner. Caveira FC Rondoniense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomasz Waldoch ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Adrian Mutu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luizão Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Mutu in the 38th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Christoffel Vinck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brickeen Wall. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Mutu to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Caveira FC Rondoniense's Luizão Vargas got control of the ball when Adrian Mutu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luizão Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enginalp Kayaalp in the 59th minute. Luizão Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Mutu in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Mutu in the 65th minute of play forced Caveira FC Rondoniense's goalkeeper Luizão Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Eliazar in the 66th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Caveira FC Rondoniense's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Luizão Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brickeen Wall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoffel Vinck's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Luizão Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enginalp Kayaalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Christoffel Vinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Adrian Mutu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adrian Mutu might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizão Vargas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Mutu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tomasz Waldoch hit a great ball. Caveira FC Rondoniense's Armando Eliazar got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Braga Junior FC's Jairo Jacinto got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Braga Junior FC's Jairo Jacinto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jairo Jacinto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Braga Junior FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jairo Jacinto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Braga Junior FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
