Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Régis de Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 17 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoffel Vinck. Armando Eliazar made a great header on Caveira FC Rondoniense's corner, it was just that Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 彭然威 helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's 彭然威 got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Otávio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Régis de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffel Vinck in the 37th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Luizão Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Sanderson in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Remy Sanderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy Sanderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Eliazar came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoffel Vinck in the 86th managed to get into a good position. When Christoffel Vinck came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Caveira FC Rondoniense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoffel Vinck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Vidal in the 95th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
