After a rather tough play, Katchau's Edgard Hermes got a free kick in the 10th minute. Hermengildo Misael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fernandinho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Misael in the 14th minute of play forced Katchau's goalkeeper Fernandinho Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Francisco Romildo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fernandinho Mangueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Justino Dalmau came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Katchau's Váldson Sergipano. But to his dismay, Váldson Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Katchau's Fernandinho Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Misael in the 25th minute of play. Nestor Ferran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fernandinho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Katchau's Ian Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justino Dalmau. That made the score 2-2 after 31 minutes of play. After 44 played minutes Katchau got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Urbano. After 48 played minutes Katchau got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Nogueira. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Misael to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Ian Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Dalmau was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Moises Eskuin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Mangueira having to interfere. Nestor Ferran scored 3-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Mangueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Justino Dalmau came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Katchau's Váldson Sergipano. But to his dismay, Váldson Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Moises Eskuin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Mangueira having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Hermengildo Misael reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernandinho Mangueira. The goal made the score 4-4. In the 75th minute, Ian Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Katchau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. Los Diablos Rojos's Justino Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Garcia in the 79th minute of play. Tadeu Proença was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, one of Katchau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hermengildo Misael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Fernandinho Mangueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Katchau booed when Los Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Katchau's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Misael came free, but Fernandinho Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Katchau's Váldson Sergipano pulled a muscle in his leg after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Los Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Hernan Acosta hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Urbano during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Marcus Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
