Fabio Echavarri lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 19 minutes into the game, one of UD Rubi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Danilo Fidele placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Millán Losada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermengildo Misael in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when UD Rubi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Rienda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes in the game, Moises Eskuin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Millán Losada having to interfere. Justino Dalmau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Ponce De Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, UD Rubi's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Ferran came free, but Millán Losada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Belmiro Ponce De Leon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Dalmau. Belmiro Ponce De Leon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Justino Dalmau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Belmiro Ponce De Leon made the kick off in the second half. Pelayo Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Nestor Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Millán Losada having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Rubi's Belmiro Ponce De Leon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justino Dalmau. That made the score 1-3 after 59 minutes of play. Millán Losada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Eskuin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Mancio Abril hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes UD Rubi got a freekick which was hit by Gergori Raya. Francisco Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Millán Losada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Nestor Ferran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Millán Losada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Millán Losada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Eskuin in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Romildo in the 77th minute of play forced UD Rubi's goalkeeper Millán Losada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mancio Abril in the 78th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Justino Dalmau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Lastur Sobrado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Rubi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Diablos Rojos the free kick. Lastur Sobrado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Belmiro Ponce De Leon managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Rubi's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Ponce De Leon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Dalmau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lastur Sobrado hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UD Rubi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
