After 4 played minutes UD Rubi got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Ponce De Leon. Millán Losada came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Trio's Uwe Degener. But to his dismay, Uwe Degener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 8th minute Belmiro Ponce De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus-Dieter Heisters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Rohde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Millán Losada having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Trio's Curt Schuber got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of FC Trio booed when UD Rubi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Bargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Rohde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes FC Trio got a freekick which was hit by Ratko Täger. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Uwe Degener got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 33 played minutes UD Rubi got a freekick which was hit by Lastur Sobrado. After recieving a nice pass, FC Trio's Karsten Ollert tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mark Rohde kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 35thth minute. Though ot was a great shot UD Rubi's keeper Millán Losada was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Uwe Degener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ratko Täger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Millán Losada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Ponce De Leon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uwe Degener was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Amador Rienda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaus-Dieter Heisters was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karel Bittcher during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, FC Trio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Bittcher to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belmiro Ponce De Leon got free with Klaus-Dieter Heisters in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th match minute, UD Rubi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonsalvo Casanova to maneuver through the defense. Klaus-Dieter Heisters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Rienda in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belmiro Ponce De Leon got free with Klaus-Dieter Heisters in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 played minutes UD Rubi got a freekick which was hit by Gonsalvo Casanova. Karsten Ollert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Millán Losada. UD Rubi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Uwe Degener recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Millán Losada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uwe Degener in the 80th minute of play. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mark Rohde sped through UD Rubi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Millán Losada. After a rather tough play, UD Rubi's Romeo Bargas got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Trio's Karel Bittcher got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, FC Trio's goalkeeper Klaus-Dieter Heisters had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Ponce De Leon. When Amador Rienda came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the UD Rubi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Rienda couldn't finish the play. Sascha Andre Kahn kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Klaus-Dieter Heisters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Rienda, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Trio had played much better football throughout.
