Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Beltrán Lucas sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Seber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Ferdinand in the 18th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anders Larsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Constantino Avellaneda got a free kick in the 20th minute. Julio Txomin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Germano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 27 played minutes Club Atletico Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Ugutz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Berdoi in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Larsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anders Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 30 minutes, Constantino Avellaneda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Club Atletico Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Constantino Avellaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eskil Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Club Atletico Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Beltrán Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Germano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Germano was a little too slow when Cecilio Seber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cecilio Seber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carlos Germano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eskil Åkesson to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Beltrán Lucas came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Eskil Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Eskil Åkesson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Club Atletico Fenix getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Luisito Sandalio hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atletico Fenix fully deserved thier win.
