In the 23rd minute, Norbert Konopka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norbert Konopka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Édouard Mendy having to make a save. Glauco Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcu Bobe hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Norbert Konopka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jipa RO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norbert Konopka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The Flamengo CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Flamengo CIMZ's Marcu Bobe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Terra in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Édouard Mendy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 minutes Flamengo CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bruno Henrique who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Jipa RO's Glauco Mendes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Terra in the 82nd minute of play. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Terra in the 85th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Jipa RO got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Koehler. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Terra in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Édouard Mendy saved Flamengo CIMZ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Trigo in the 92nd minute of play forced Jipa RO's goalkeeper Fabinho Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Renan de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jipa RO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
