The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens Mikaelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Almeida in the 4th minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Gilson Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Almeida in the 8th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Jens Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juventudes Libertárias's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomir Narbut in the 10th minute of play. If Wei Guang Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radomir Narbut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alisson Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alisson Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Guang Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Trancoso. Wei Guang Xing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alisson Becker came out and tried to block the shot, but Wei Guang Xing slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Gonçalo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Baiano came free, but Jens Mikaelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Wei Guang Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wei Guang Xing to make the kick off. If Radomir Narbut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edson Braddock charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson Braddock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Edson Braddock. Juventudes Libertárias's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 56th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wei Guang Xing in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alisson Becker saved Juventudes Libertárias from getting behind. In the 59th match minute, Juventudes Libertárias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Baiano to maneuver through the defense. After 73 minutes, Reinaldo Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventudes Libertárias and the MONTANHA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Víctor Cuesta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Radomir Narbut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Radomir Narbut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alisson Becker. Juventudes Libertárias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomir Narbut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
