An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Machado in the 9th minute of play forced Ciseski‘s's goalkeeper Cido Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Romário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match, Washington Peixoto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cido Varela was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th minute, Howard Layfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Militros F.C.'s Oséas Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Romário in the 15th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Militros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rik Hello. Betão Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Cido Varela made a huge save. After 27 played minutes Ciseski‘s got a freekick which was hit by Dé Recife. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Recife in the 31st minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Oséas Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmond Boureau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oséas Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Romário in the 40th minute of the match. Rik Hello's late challenge caught a Ciseski‘s's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rik Hello helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Rik Hello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Boureau came free, but Oséas Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Militros F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yanniek Van Laeck was slow to take the kick. During this time Ciseski‘s's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ciseski‘s's Yanniek Van Laeck to fire away a dangerous shot which Oséas Baptista despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rik Hello kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Edmond Boureau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséas Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Boureau in the 47th minute of play.

When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Roberto Romário took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Oséas Baptista to make any attempt to save it. Cido Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Valencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A nice corner shot did that Howard Layfield got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cido Varela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 91 played minutes Militros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Valencia. Dé Recife hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Roberto Romário could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Oséas Baptista made a huge save. The Ciseski‘s supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ciseski‘s would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
