An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Pombal in the 38th minute of play forced Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Tirense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Reko-Recko 03™ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
