The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Teles got free with Hermínio Pitta in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Paulinho Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Günalp Taştan. Bitelon FC - SAF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulinho Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hélio Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Hélio Ceresso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hermínio Pitta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Teles in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Pitta saved DJVAGALUMY FC. from getting behind. When Waldemar Teles came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Bitelon FC - SAF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Teles couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Waldemar Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bitelon FC - SAF's Waldemar Teles in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goalie prevented a goal. Hermínio Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Teles in the 91st minute of play. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
