In the 15th minute, Antônio Carlos Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Caco Azevedo. SORRISO E. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Caco Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Prestes in the 25th minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s Carlinhos Alcântara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jaime Pombal in the 27 minute of the game. Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Iwanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Caco Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Prestes came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Jaime Pombal in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SORRISO E. C.'s Bruninho Melo. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Paulista in the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Marcos Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Luz during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes SORRISO E. The Caco Azevedo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 78th minute Murilo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Damião's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Damião helped the player get up and apologised. Thiago Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Caco Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Damião in the 83rd minute of play. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Guedes having to interfere. AF CERRADO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
