Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Sousa in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Silvério Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Silvério Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zandarin FC booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zandarin FC's Jimeno Cilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Prestes in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner. Murilo Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Murilo Prestes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jimeno Cilio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. SORRISO E. C.'s Bruninho Melo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Germano Souza, made in the 20th minute of the game. Jimeno Cilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Germano Souza threw the ball into play from the sideline. SORRISO E. C.'s Bruninho Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Bruninho Melo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Joel Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Carlos Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ryszard Iwanowski came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryszard Iwanowski couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zandarin FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Zandarin FC:s Jimeno Cilio showed great skill when he stopped Murilo Prestes:s penalty. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zandarin FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Murilo Prestes was slow to take the kick. During this time SORRISO E. C.'s players had a chance to rest. Murilo Prestes made a great header on SORRISO E. C.'s corner, it was just that Zandarin FC's Jimeno Cilio managed to reach the ball for a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Murilo Prestes made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Gustavo Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zandarin FC the free kick. Jimeno Cilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Bruninho Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Zandarin FC's Jimeno Cilio got control of the ball when Murilo Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. SORRISO E. Jimeno Cilio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the SORRISO E. C. defense, Joel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Ramos. The SORRISO E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Ramos should have stopped the shot. Ryszard Iwanowski hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Ryszard Iwanowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
