In the 47th minute Luís Fábio Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Luzea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the RIQUELME FC defense, Luís Fábio Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Luzea. The RIQUELME FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Luzea should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Mundo to make the kick off. Higinio Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Luís Fábio Rocha notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of RIQUELME FC's Nereo Luzea. Feliciano Haritzeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Nereo Luzea made a huge save. If Higinio Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RIQUELME FC's Nereo Luzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 80th minute of play. Indiana Jones struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Nereo Luzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hijos de Doña Beija. In the 87th match minute, Los Hijos de Doña Beija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Cresitobalo to maneuver through the defense. Andres Nesor charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Nesor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Los Hijos de Doña Beija booed when RIQUELME FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Nesor didn't get a good kick on the ball.
