After 12 minutes Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Lima who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goalie and right to Diogo Melo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mané Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Munhoz in the 14th minute of the match. Dudu Loureiro made a great header on Sport Club Cevada's corner, it was just that Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Mané Viana managed to reach the ball for a save. Chico de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apostolis Porros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sport Club Cevada booed when Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mané Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Melo in the 29th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico de Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dário Carneiro hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Mané Viana got control of the ball when José Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dudu Loureiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mané Viana came out and tried to block the shot, but Dudu Loureiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 59th minute. Iuri Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Cipriano Baeza was substituted for Alf Brander. After 64 played minutes Sport Club Cevada got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Vale. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's attentive Vitório da Rocha managed to snatch the ball when Shah Sarangapani made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Sport Club Cevada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlinhos de Brito took the corner. The corner ended in Chico de Brito almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sport Club Cevada's Apostolis Porros did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Melo got free with Mané Viana in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Mané Viana made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when José Lima sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico de Brito to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Munhoz came free, but Mané Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Sport Club Cevada left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ.
