Purple Talents's Antonio Vissenaeckens quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 14 minutes into the game, Christoffer Lingren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Purple Talents's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Pelgrims the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Purple Talents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Lingren to maneuver through the defense. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Lazcano in the 17th minute of play. Purple Talents were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after De Pelgrims's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Witold Hodyl took the corner. In the 19th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Eger to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 26th minute of play forced Purple Talents's goalkeeper Kaan Snow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Montrel Perpiñán in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaan Snow prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Lazcano in the 37th minute of the match. Kaan Snow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 38th minute of play. Victorino Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaan Snow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike van Zeijl in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Montrel Perpiñán got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perivaldo Eger was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Mathias de Ruijter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaan Snow was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 69thth minute of the game Victorino Lazcano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Pedro Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Purple Talents's Kaan Snow got control of the ball when Perivaldo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute Victorino Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Purple Talents made a substitution. Richy Van Boeckost replaced Victorino Lazcano. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Huub Gerrits hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Antonio Vissenaeckens got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Perivaldo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kaan Snow made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched De Pelgrims eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
