Alkan Soysaltürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Quiñones's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Benedito de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Ochoa having to make a save. Guillermo Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito de Sousa in the 26th minute of play forced • REGINA •'s goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of DONPATO booed when • REGINA • was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Salamon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Benedito de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DONPATO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
