The referee ignored Greenore's protests and gave Quinton Doyle a yellow card for diving instead. 3 minutes into the game, Apolo Polo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Baran Lavine. Apolo Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baran Lavine having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Apolo Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paula AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Polo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Paula AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Anibal Pedroso hit a great ball. Greenore's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Apolo Polo scored to the left of an out of position Baran Lavine, making the score, 2-0. In the 30th minute of the match, Abel Tartalo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baran Lavine was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Brannon Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brannon Dunne to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seosamh Hutton got free with Aureliano Chinto in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 65 minutes, Gaynor Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenore and the Paula AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Greenore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaynor Delaney to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Greenore's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Tartalo came free, but Baran Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Paula AFC booed when Greenore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bricin McWillie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baran Lavine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Tartalo went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Abel Tartalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paula AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Tartalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baran Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Tartalo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Tartalo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seosamh Hutton came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aureliano Chinto could save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Quinton Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Tartalo in the 87th minute of play forced Greenore's goalkeeper Baran Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brannon Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Aureliano Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliano Chinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannon Dunne in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Paula AFC's zone, Seosamh Hutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Chinto came out of the goal and Seosamh Hutton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paula AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Greenore for a fine match.
