In the 9th minute of the match, Zülfü Sungur got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emiliano Martínez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Dalli in the 10th minute of the match. Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Dalli in the 12th minute of play. If Utha Wiranatakusumah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Gonzales kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Banegas. David Banegas scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiliano Martínez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez got control of the ball when David Banegas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrew Dalli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Martínez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Andrew Dalli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Martínez was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as David Banegas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Martínez. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Andrew Dalli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Martínez was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Devidatta Vendetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenal's Venancio Unai got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Esmeralda AFC booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Gonzales didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Andrew Dalli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Venancio Unai made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Banegas in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Martínez saved Arsenal from getting behind. 58 minutes into the match, Zülfü Sungur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Martínez. Arsenal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zülfü Sungur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 62 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Sandalio came free, but Jorge Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Venancio Unai in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Armani saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. In the 65th minute Andrew Dalli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zülfü Sungur in the 67th minute of play. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zülfü Sungur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrew Dalli in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Martínez saved Arsenal from getting behind. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Banegas in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfü Sungur came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenal's Venancio Unai got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esmeralda AFC made a substitution. Nicasio Fonda replaced David Banegas. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Dalli in the 85th minute of the match. Esmeralda AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Devidatta Vendetta in the 86th minute. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Dalli in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Esmeralda AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Di Yong Yu hit a great ball. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Fonda. But to his dismay, Nicasio Fonda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arsenal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esmeralda AFC.
