Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Lopez in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Felix Azibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC CERBEROS's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Azibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Armani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, David Banegas made a precise shot to the right of Mauro Joachim. AFC CERBEROS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Anacleto Sanchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, AFC CERBEROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Orlandus to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Matxin. After a rather tough play, AFC CERBEROS's Anacleto Sanchez got a free kick in the 46th minute. A collision led to AFC CERBEROS getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Felix Azibar hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Azibar to strike the kick off in the second half. Felix Azibar came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jorge Armani could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 60th minute of play forced AFC CERBEROS's goalkeeper Mauro Joachim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Esmeralda AFC booed when AFC CERBEROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Armani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Azibar in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Andrew Dalli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Gaizko hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Azibar during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute Eloy Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Joachim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esmeralda AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
