Rômulo Soares's late challenge caught a ALMA GUERREIRA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rômulo Soares helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ALMA GUERREIRA booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, ALMA GUERREIRA's Genílson Alvarenga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Genílson Alvarenga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ALMA GUERREIRA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Genílson Alvarenga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in ALMA GUERREIRA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! ALMA GUERREIRA:s Vânderson Severo showed great skill when he stopped Maicon Zanette:s penalty. Vânderson Severo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maicon Zanette went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, ALMA GUERREIRA's Marco Prestes got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Soares in the 17th minute of play forced ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Vânderson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Eliseu Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vânderson Severo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vânderson Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 32nd minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Al-Fajuth's Rômulo Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Vânderson Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo Soares. After 52 minutes ALMA GUERREIRA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maicon Zanette who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Ciro Meireles drilling the ball in to score 0-4 behind ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper. In the 56th minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Valladares in the 57th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Brunovskis kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Rômulo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Severo having to interfere. Vito Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rômulo Soares in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Severo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciro Meireles hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute of the match, Rômulo Soares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vânderson Severo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sydney Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. ALMA GUERREIRA's Vânderson Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save ALMA GUERREIRA from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Eliseu Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vânderson Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ALMA GUERREIRA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Eliseu Alagoano scored to the left of an out of position Vânderson Severo, making the score, 0-6. Eliseu Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vânderson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Al-Fajuth eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
