Fernandão Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandão Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Nascimento in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandão Linares saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Zé Paulo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Duarte in the 31st minute of play. When ROSÁRIO SPORT's Cipriano Nascimento in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fernandão Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Nascimento in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Angelo Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Cipriano Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernandão Linares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 43 played minutes, ROSÁRIO SPORT's João Carlos Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernandão Linares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ROSÁRIO SPORT reached it. Fernandão Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Seco's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, SAO JOANENSE FC's Fernandão Linares got control of the ball when Ismael Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernandão Linares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. After 61 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by José Duarte. In the 62nd match minute, SAO JOANENSE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandão Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Loyola in the 70th minute of play. Aílton Neiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernandão Linares came out and tried to block the shot, but Aílton Neiva slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 73rd minute.
