In the 22nd minute, Joaquim Vilar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stacy Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Arturo Di Rado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbur Hyde having to interfere. In the 28th minute Domingo Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Di Rado might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilbur Hyde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Di Rado ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilbur Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Rado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilbur Hyde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Di Rado's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Joaquim Vilar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stacy Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Nathan Shannon made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tom Adams immediately put the ball in play. Wilbur Hyde didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Black Knights FC made a substitution. Scottie Huston replaced Lincoln Downey. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Di Rado to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Black Knights FC got a freekick which was hit by Scottie Huston. Stacy Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Vilar in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Black Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Caracedo to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Black Knights FC got a freekick which was hit by Titus Beck. El Canalla de Chicago's Andreas Sanchez was substituted for Matthew Medrano. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Black Knights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Titus Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goalkeeper Stacy Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Lopez. In the 68th minute Claude Mueller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arturo Di Rado came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Black Knights FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Di Rado couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes in the game Wilfred Noel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Justin Raines. With an all-out effort, El Canalla de Chicago's Stacy Daniel threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquim Vilar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Black Knights FC made a substitution. Elliot Mercado replaced Arturo Di Rado. Tyrone Wolff might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilbur Hyde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tyrone Wolff ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Domingo Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stacy Daniel.
