A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jörgen Frohm hit a great ball. 冯永宽 was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Roger Myles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Tony Pacheco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Edgardo Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Roger Myles made a huge save. Roger Myles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Frohm to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 冯永宽 in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Danilo Maranhense made the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Roger Myles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tio Lio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tio Lio in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Pacheco in the 78th minute of play forced Illinois Bluewaters's goalkeeper Roger Myles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 冯永宽. Roger Myles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 89th minute of the match.
