EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Lyle Flanagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Nordmark in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Nordmark came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Marshall Medina could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Jeremy Nicholas however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute, Tio Lio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Marshall Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Tingberg came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The New England Minas fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when New England Minas's Tio Lio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Glen Conklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyle Flanagan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tio Lio in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyle Flanagan saved EL LOBO DE MIAMI from getting behind. Lyle Flanagan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Tony Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Flanagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyle Flanagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Conklin in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Tio Lio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lyle Flanagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tio Lio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roman Major fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Minas's protests and gave Roman Major a yellow card for diving instead. New England Minas:s Jeremy Nicholas showed great skill when he stopped Stig-Ove Möller:s penalty. The audience was convinced that Edgardo Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lyle Flanagan was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Tio Lio made a precise shot to the right of Lyle Flanagan. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Ove Möller to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in EL LOBO DE MIAMI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Lyle Flanagan had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping Tony Pacheco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Tio Lio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lyle Flanagan. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tio Lio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. New England Minas made a substitution. A nice corner shot did that Glen Conklin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lyle Flanagan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wally Urbina kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Pacheco came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyle Flanagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 84th minute of play. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Lyle Flanagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tio Lio in the 85th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as New England Minas's Tio Lio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lyle Flanagan. That made the score 0-6 after 89 minutes of play. New England Minas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
