The crowd rose to their feet as Black Knights FC's Elliot Mercado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felix Ivarsson. That made the score 1-1 after 6 minutes of play. Felix Ivarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliot Mercado in the 9th minute. Arturo Di Matteo took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stacy Daniel. Stacy Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 14th minute Arturo Di Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stacy Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Di Matteo came free, but Stacy Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Arturo Di Matteo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Stacy Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 27 in the game by Arturo Di Rado from a close distance when the talented Felix Ivarsson managed to make a qualified save. Calenzano's players were relieved. In the 28th minute Arturo Di Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Black Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Wolff to maneuver through the defense. Stacy Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stacy Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 39th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Antonello Di Toma advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-4 in the 40th minute. Elliot Mercado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Arturo Di Matteo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calenzano's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Di Matteo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stacy Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Boyce Garza with Arturo Di Rado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Calenzano's Arturo Di Matteo in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Boyce Garza made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Calenzano's Achille Sciamanna. If Quinto Ampudia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Calenzano's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Mercado came free, but Felix Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Ivarsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Di Rado's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Black Knights FC defense, Quinto Ampudia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stacy Daniel. The Black Knights FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stacy Daniel should have stopped the shot. Black Knights FC's Wasyl Wawro was substituted for Elliot Mercado. Black Knights FC made a substitution. Scottie Huston replaced Bartolo Ucero. Quinto Ampudia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quinto Ampudia came free, but Stacy Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calenzano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
