The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Beto Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Roger Myles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Pipon Pipon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Al Whatley in the 11th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Illinois Bluewaters's goalie and right to Cesario Irazu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Illinois Bluewaters's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 21st minute Nicky Bryson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Myles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Myles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicky Bryson's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the match, Illinois Bluewaters's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Bryson came free, but Roger Myles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Illinois Bluewaters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Al Whatley was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Pipon Pipon's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th match minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Jannes Ruttens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯永宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Illinois Bluewaters's Güneş İltemur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jannes Ruttens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Illinois Bluewaters's zone, Jose José stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Myles came out of the goal and Jose José tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicky Bryson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Bryson in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match C. A. Pipon Pipon got a corner. Illinois Bluewaters's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Al Whatley ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roger Myles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicky Bryson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Cesario Irazu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Danilo Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute 冯永宽 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicky Bryson was the one to do the kick off. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Maranhense in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Illinois Bluewaters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Al Whatley was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Pipon Pipon's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Al Whatley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles did a great save. Jannes Ruttens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 冯永宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Illinois Bluewaters were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after C. A. Pipon Pipon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 冯永宽 took the corner. Illinois Bluewaters's 冯永宽 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jannes Ruttens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nicky Bryson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Illinois Bluewaters's 高笑广 was substituted for Ward Mason. Danilo Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jannes Ruttens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Francesco Figueroa was substituted for Pepe Rompel. In the 79th minute Illinois Bluewaters were awarded a corner. 冯永宽 went to the cornerflag to take it. 冯永宽 made a great header on Illinois Bluewaters's corner, it was just that C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 81st minute, 冯永宽 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannes Ruttens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Roger Myles was a little too slow when Nicky Bryson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-1. Illinois Bluewaters's Sal Jarrell was substituted for Şeray Gürgen. In the 93rd minute 冯永宽 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Illinois Bluewaters getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Danilo Maranhense hit a great ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
