When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Conny Tingberg put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Smallwood. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyron Velasquez to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 92ndth minute of the game Tio Lio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Ye Gang Cheng got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emmitt Benson went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. New England Minas fully deserved thier win.
