In the 6thth minute of the game Edgardo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Jannes Ruttens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Nordmark in the 10th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesario Irazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesario Irazu in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cesario Irazu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jeremy Nicholas to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Beto Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Pipon Pipon's Nicky Bryson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 43 minutes into the game, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannes Ruttens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicky Bryson to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Montenegro in the 54th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Silvas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Jannes Ruttens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. Jannes Ruttens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Nordmark's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Bryson came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the New England Minas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Pipon Pipon.
