The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Francesco Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Pipon Pipon's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Figueroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Smallwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Bryson came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aaron Smallwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesario Irazu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesario Irazu in the 20th minute of the match. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 21st minute of play. If Tyron Velasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 25th minute of play. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Vern Pierre lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Santos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Titus Kohler kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Al Whatley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Aaron Smallwood made a huge save. 46 minutes in the game Ronalds Koeman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cesario Irazu. With a little luck, Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood got control of the ball when Cesario Irazu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Rompel in the 52nd minute of play. Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Tyron Velasquez sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Bryson in the 55th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyron Velasquez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jannes Ruttens firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 61 minutes, Tyron Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyron Velasquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Malcolm McIntosh was substituted for Francesco Figueroa. Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Tyron Velasquez sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Malcolm McIntosh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Smallwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Nicky Bryson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smallwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Tory Weeks got a free kick in the 79th minute. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Bryson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos FC's attentive Tory Weeks managed to snatch the ball when Jose José made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terence Nicholas. In the 88th minute, Nicky Bryson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Pipon Pipon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Tory Weeks came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Santos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tory Weeks couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Pipon Pipon.
