Felix Ivarsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Stig-Ove Möller slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Lyle Flanagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Paolo Golts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reginaldo Dias got free with Felix Ivarsson in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lyle Flanagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 46th minute of the match. Adrianinho Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
