Leandro Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Santos's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Eldad Stock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Relyn Futebol Clube's Durval Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Relyn Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. If Felipe Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eduardo Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Alfredão Mazza in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Relyn Futebol Clube's Oséias Correia. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Felipe Santos sped through Caskinha Sport Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leandro Neves. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Santos to make the kick off. Relyn Futebol Clube's Durval Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 53rd minute of play. Durval Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Santos got free with Leandro Neves in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caskinha Sport Clube's Leandro Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Santos in the 69th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leandro Neves. That made the score 0-2 in the 79 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Santos got free with Leandro Neves in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iván Zamorano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Marinho having to interfere. Felipe Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leandro Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Iván Zamorano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Marinho was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Gilberto dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Relyn Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Cangeopol. The Relyn Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Relyn Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
