The referee showed Rômulo Custódio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Custódio. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 14th minute of play. Osvaldinho Veiga made in the 22nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cássio Ferraz. Andy Cole blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Maranhense having to make a save. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Seco in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Andy Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Passos in the 54th minute of the match. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Dantas in the 61st minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Veiga hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Andy Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andy Cole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Abelardo Maranhense made a huge save. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Passos in the 68th minute of play. Donato Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egun Pais having to interfere. Olivedos's Abel de Godoi was substituted for Valdo Dantas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Oliveira in the 79th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jardel Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Abelardo Maranhense made a huge save. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jardel Lewandowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Egun Pais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute Cássio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes, Olivedos's Luisinho Ceresso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egun Pais came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olivedos reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Floresta Negra FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olivedos.
