Donato Regis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Donato Regis struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Miguel Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Waldos. Robert-Jan Weedsgaards short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Miguel Carneiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 10th match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Estrada to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when J.J Riquelme got free with Miguel Carneiro in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 played minutes The Waldos got a freekick which was hit by Celso Illan. In the 21st minute of the match Norberto Coimbra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Romero skillfully saved the ball. Norberto Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Celso Illan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
