But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthy Reniers couldn't finish the play. Herald Wouqier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Atarrabi in the 6th minute of the match. Benne Marichal charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benne Marichal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Geetsvondel²'s Benne Marichal got a free kick in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Vincent Theijs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Isaac Ibon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Berni y Benja FC's Isaac Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthy Reniers in the 14th minute of play. Hannes Steenbecks made a great header on Geetsvondel²'s corner, it was just that Berni y Benja FC's Isaac Ibon managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Isaac Ibon managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Geetsvondel²'s Matthy Reniers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Geetsvondel² defense, Wilfredo Orlondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herald Wouqier. The Geetsvondel² fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herald Wouqier should have stopped the shot. Ramon Frasco kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Herald Wouqier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Geetsvondel² booed when Berni y Benja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Ibon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthy Reniers's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Berni y Benja FC's Jonathan Atarrabi got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd match minute, Berni y Benja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Thomas to maneuver through the defense. If Matthy Reniers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Berni y Benja FC's Jonathan Atarrabi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herald Wouqier. That made the score 1-3 after 63 minutes of play. In the 65th minute Matthy Reniers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ibon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berni y Benja FC made a substitution. Matthy Reniers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Ibon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play.
