Rustam Arsenievich started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Perez in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luiz Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Téo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rustam Arsenievich in the 5th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's Wiliam Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Marian Witkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luiz Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiliam Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Luiz Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Perez in the 27th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiliam Perez went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 33 minutes into the match, FLU ES fc's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Perez came free, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wiliam Perez came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Atlético Capixaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Perez couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's Wiliam Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Wiliam Perez made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FLU ES fc's Pedro Luiz Sergipano got control of the ball when Wiliam Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Vítor-Borba Xerifão put in a rough tackle. 55 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Capixaba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of FLU ES fc booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luiz Sergipano was a little too slow when Wiliam Perez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-2. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Samuel Ortiz replaced João Marcos. Téo Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oriche Bouzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Atlético Capixaba defense, Oriche Bouzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Téo Leite. The Atlético Capixaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Téo Leite should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Atlético Capixaba's André Guimarães dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. FLU ES fc's Eusébio Leal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Walmyr Neto in the 84 minute of the game. Téo Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rustam Arsenievich went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Pedro Luiz Sergipano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Capixaba's André Guimarães. But to his dismay, André Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Guimarães in the 96th minute of play forced FLU ES fc's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético Capixaba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
