Diogo Barbosa tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Luiz Paulo Vaz. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 13th minute. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by São José E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brian Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A Gryffindor's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Sarracino Marsano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 21 minutes, Brian Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Gryffindor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 胡思朋 in the 27th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Montenegro in the 30th minute of play. C.A Gryffindor were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after São José E. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brian Montenegro took the corner. After taking down the ball on C.A Gryffindor's corner Brian Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Paulo Vaz quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vedillo Quijano during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vedillo Quijano kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Luís Gustavo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Corinth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Montenegro made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Renato Nevares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the game, Brian Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luiz Paulo Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd match minute, São José E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Vaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind São José E. C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, São José E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Vaz to maneuver through the defense. After 68 minutes, Gualter Guedes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São José E. C. and the C.A Gryffindor players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.A Gryffindor booed when São José E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind São José E. C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelinho Leme replaced Bill Bill. C.A Gryffindor's Mauro Oliveira was substituted for Brian Montenegro. In the 87th minute, Gualter Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 88 minutes, Mauro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Gryffindor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mauro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Mauro Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Paulo Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the São José E. C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A Gryffindor.
