A nice corner shot did that Nils-Åke Ivarsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanislav Dvorskiy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustav Månsson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislav Dvorskiy saved Resistencia Tayrona FC from getting behind. Leopard Brööö's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nils-Åke Ivarsson in the 16th minute. After taking down the ball on Leopard Brööö's corner Nils-Åke Ivarsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stanislav Dvorskiy quite easily take care of the ball. If Ciano Bonifaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Refugio Izaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Karl Österberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanislav Dvorskiy had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Nils-Åke Ivarsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nils-Åke Ivarsson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Stanislav Dvorskiy 43 minutes into the match. When Bartoli Elorduy fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resistencia Tayrona FC's protests and gave Bartoli Elorduy a yellow card for diving instead.
