In the 3rd match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sá to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Ali Picavea in the 8th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Patricio Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Ricart hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Patricio Lluc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Meira in the 9th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Jorginho Mazza in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Atlético Escocia's Ciriaco Satordi. Gláuber Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Titan Nahas in the 13th minute of play. Patricio Lluc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Ramalho in the 21st minute of the match. Patricio Lluc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Habib Ali Picavea's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Hélder Velasco notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club Atlético Escocia's Patricio Lluc. Patricio Lluc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Ali Picavea in the 44th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Patricio Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Lluc came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Morro Grande E.C's Hélder Velasco. But to his dismay, Hélder Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Patricio Lluc made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hélder Velasco sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Habib Ali Picavea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Lluc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atlético Escocia's Patricio Lluc got control of the ball when Habib Ali Picavea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Lluc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Lluc was a little too slow when Hélder Velasco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-4. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Saul Fiz got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Velasco got free with Patricio Lluc in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Lluc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiano Trevisan's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Habib Ali Picavea 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Club Atlético Escocia made a substitution. Baldomero Inocente replaced Filiberto Tolino. Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Soeiro was substituted for Kaká Sampaio. In the 80th minute, Toninho Caca-Rato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Grau to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Lluc made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Habib Ali Picavea sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Velasco in the 95th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Patricio Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morro Grande E.C played a much better game than Club Atlético Escocia and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Escocia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
