Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lothaire Maddox took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes in the game Hamir Hian did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lothaire Maddox. A collision led to Club Atlético Lanús getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lothaire Maddox hit a great ball. Dário Prada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes, Marcu Şuteu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Hornos and the Club Atlético Lanús players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dário Prada might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Navarro Montoya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dário Prada ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute Dário Prada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Navarro Montoya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Prada went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Los Hornos's Silas de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murray Schmitz in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Club Atlético Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Schmitz to maneuver through the defense. Ghitã Butuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fernando Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Prada in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lanús's Fernando Navarro Montoya got control of the ball when Dário Prada tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Los Hornos getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcu Şuteu hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Los Hornos's Armando Rafel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Armando Rafel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Hornos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Armando Rafel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th match minute, Los Hornos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Rafel to maneuver through the defense. Los Hornos made a substitution. Claudio Bela replaced Ghitã Butuc. After 48 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Armando Rafel. In the 49th minute Garfield Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dário Prada made a kick off. Hong Copeland kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Silas de Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lothaire Maddox's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Silas de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothaire Maddox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Dário Prada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Hornos were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Club Atlético Lanús's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Amato took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Gene Simmons to score against Fernando Navarro Montoya in Club Atlético Lanús's goal. 2-1 after 81 minutes. In the 87th minute, Hong Copeland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Los Hornos's Silas de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murray Schmitz in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Murray Schmitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silas de Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Silas de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Cavazos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute of the match Club Atlético Lanús got a corner. Los Hornos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garfield Watson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio Bela tried in the game's 96th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Silas de Andrade. An annoying self made goal, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atlético Lanús walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
