With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Preudhomme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zecku's Petre Encuțescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saden Merzouk in the 69th minute of play. David Miliano hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Zecku got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Lazcano. Michel Preudhomme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivor Peake in the 82nd minute of the match. Rui Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Encuțescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
