Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Ascencio in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th play minute Xalvador Pendones came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Roberto Quintal. 1-0. In the 14thth minute of the game Xalvador Pendones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Roberto Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xalvador Pendones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Roberto Quintal made a huge save. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Aldo Ascencio to fire away a dangerous shot which Santiago Cañizares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Jubera threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Piara Walter quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 24th minute, Aldo Ascencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Diego Lugano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roberto Quintal, 2-0. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Ascencio in the 34th minute of play. When Marcial Ziguenza came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Nueva Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Ziguenza couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Xalvador Pendones made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Quintal. Cachilo FC --OFF--'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After having played for 40 minutes, Diego Lugano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Lugano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Diego Lugano. 46 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Ascencio came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Ascencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santiago Cañizares made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Aldo Ascencio sent off a good shot on target. Aldo Ascencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Santiago Cañizares made a huge save. After having played for 59 minutes, Aldo Ascencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachilo FC --OFF--'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Ascencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Bernabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cachilo FC --OFF--'s zone, Xalvador Pendones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Quintal came out of the goal and Xalvador Pendones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Victor Hernando got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Xalvador Pendones left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nueva Chicago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Roberto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesc Vilaplana in the 71st minute of the match. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Bernabe in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Xalvador Pendones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Quintal was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Santiago Cañizares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 87th minute, Wilfredo Jubera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Xalvador Pendones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cachilo FC --OFF--'s Leon Maldonado got a free kick in the 95th minute. Nueva Chicago walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
